we meet a feast
Having celebrated the feast of the Nativity of Christ, the Church on the following day glorifies with sacred hymns the Most Holy Theotokos, the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who served in the great mystery of the incarnation of God the Word on earth. The Most Holy Virgin is an example for all believers, for all virtues are concentrated in Her: virginal purity and chastity, boundless devotion to the will of God, unwavering courage in the midst of the greatest sorrows, maternal care and warmth of heart, humility and love for God and people.
